Geographical Background
Climatically Sierra Gordo differs greatly depending on the location in country. The south of the country is tropical and rainy. This southern region has become a hotspot for tourists. The middle regions are typically dry and desert like. In the northern regions the temperatures are typically moderate, although higher in the mountainous north it is not uncommon to see snow during the summer seasons.
Sierra Gordo is a developing country and most of it's inhabitants lead rural lives involved in subsistence agriculture. The only real industry located here is the jobs provided by Delco in their research and design labs. However like most developing countries the divide between rich and poor is great. Sierra Gordo is no different. Most regions are impoverished but the capital of Sierra Gordo, Delco City is as high tech as any western city. Here the traveler can find first class schools, wonderful parks, and modern malls selling the latest fashions. Delco City resembles a tropical paradise, despite it's origin as a desert village. Delco has worked in with the SG government to fund irrigation programs to bring water to the desert and make the soil fertile.
There is one major international airport in Sierra Gordo it is located to the south west of Delco City.
There is one major canyon located in the southern portion of the country. The hills and water in this region make this area unfit for travel.
